That's what they're calling it, apparently.

Here are the confirmed specifics:
-It's using the Gamebryo (FO3) engine
-It's going to be an actionfilled bonanza
-It will have a good number of bugs and glitches
-Elements of the Van Buren team are the ones working on it, under the helpful supervision of Bethesda designer gods
-It's probably nothing more than a cunning strategy to sink a competing RPG developer
-The title is pure shit manifested in words

It's like New Reno gone bad - lobotomized Chris Avellone on crack. My expectations are pretty low, considering how well EA Redwood Shores managed to fuck up the whole Godfather II setting. If you can turn a diamond into a steamy pile of turd, there's not much to hope for when it comes to continuing on from FO3, is there?

And also the "Bethesda designer gods" made me spill my hot cup of evening tea. Damn you, St. Toxic!

New Vegas is kind of a dumb and/or generic name, it's obvious at first glance. "Las", or Those, preceeds "Vegas", or Fertile Plains. So, if they wanted to make it work, they should have had another Spanish word.

"Quemadura." Burned.
Los Vegas Quemadura. The burned plains. If the game is heading more towards the southwest, you're gonna run into more spanish-descendant wasters, so it works.
