The Hurt Locker
I saw this last night because I heard so many good reviews of it and it was okay. It's about like a bomb squad in Iraq defusing bombs and stuff with a Maverick cowboy who does crazy stuff. There has been a lot of people complaining about the reality of it since the guy does a lot of stuff that they wouldn't actually do in the Army supposedly. It's kind of an interesting movie but it has some slow spots and sometimes stupid character interactions. Most likely if you see it you will probably hate it as that's the vibe I think DAC will get from the movie and call it stupid.
Also I noticed that they played Gear of War in 2004 in the movie, they couldn't slide that by with my think tank.

she directed point break and near dark ok chillll
i liked it. i dont really care it was realistic or not as movies are rarely real in my hombol opinion. it was tense and had some shit bits but otherwise i liked it for a contemporary action movie in a contemporary setting for a contemptable origaunce.

Naw, it is a send up of all that shit. Does some cool shit with the male gaze as well as how people deal with tragedy. Sometimes the best films are ones that come across as schlock but manage to smuggle a little subtext and social critique without devolving into preachy, didactic social problem films. This isn't the best example of that, but it still does a damn good job.PiP wrote:I thought J's Body was a horror for high school simpletons? Maybe I'm just prejudiced...
