Duck and Cover

I have done something incredibly stupid and shot the big robots with the lift arms right infront of the ladder. Now they are blocking the bottom of the ladder and I can't get down. What do I do? I havn't saved it since the base, and I went around scrounging up all the ammo/guns I could right after this. I kept quicksaving so its not possible to load the start of the level. There has got to be a way to get around this.

On a side note, how do I edit one of teh previously made missions, for instance the one above, to where I can put armor and stuff in it? thanks

Answer to Question 1: Load at the bunker.
Answer to Question 2: cheating is pointless, but you can use the Editor.
