Are you serious?
Outside of a win95/98/Linux machine this may help:

yes
i haven't played it in ages and it appears there's a bunch of win ports now, and i was wondering if they're any good. the high res patch looks like shit but i wouldn't mind running the game at a higher resolution than 24x5, plus internet multiplayer is a pretty good addition

I played it last year, only used the high res patch, if I remember correctly. There is built in mouse support which is far from ideal, but it gets the job done. Anyway, even on the hardest difficulty its quite easy, so don't worry too much. Great fun.

I remeber St. toxic and nicolai had long nights of duke nukem co op play through. Perhaps they would want to get it on, maybe me too but sounds like a lot of work.
