That band is Swedish, or the title is you crazy french canadian biker rapist.S4ur0n27 wrote:So this crazy band from Norway made this little prog gem of an album in 1976. Can't stop listening to them.
Here's a snippet.

And here's the album.
So you are a hippy as well Francis? Figures.
With that said, it is a well played tune.
Do these glasses and my two chins make me look sexy?
I've been listening the the first and third track endlessly, it's awesome.Tofu Man wrote:The rest of the album fortunately follows suit.
Easily the best thing I heard all year, thanks for this.
And it does sound a bit like some of Camel's early stuff.
And yeah snake, you're right, they're from Sweden; it's all the same shit anyhow

Funkysfabrik seems like what Gentle Giant would sound like if they had Andy Latimer on guitar
I'd have to agree with you, though, they're at their best when acoustic.
Track 3 is a standout, that and tracks 1, 9 and 10. Vattenpussar reminds me of this, if that makes any sense.

You might try this as well. Sounds pretty good.

Well, Mr. Phillips definetly gets a big thumbs up. Cross between Genesis and early Oldfield is always good in my books. That is "best" album???
Maneige, for a lack of references, I think, almost completely passed me by. Save minutes 1:25 - 3:25 on part 3/3 (which btw I'll be furiously replaying), I didn't much get everything else. Even with my prog baggage I find some of the "french" stuff a bit too experimental. But let me know if you've got something more mainstream from the same place & time. And you'd probably like these belgians.
Mahavishnu, CM? Fucking Billy Cobham. I love this shit. Y'ever try Kenso, mate? Not bad for a dentist, heh?
And here's a little something. 80's prog for people who don't like 80's prog. Mainly the last 3 tracks. Also best epic guitar solo ever on 5.

But I guess it's even more experimental then Maneige.
And Anthony Phillips is actually a founding member of Genesis. But I don't know his other albums.
Univers Zero sounds good, but sounds a bit too modern to my taste.
