The question is not why do something, it's why not.
The question is not why do something, it's why not.
I think I have reached a new level of enlightement through this statement.
It must be true. This since when a thought enters our mind like "let's get wasted" we can't think of all the reasons why to do that thing.
But if we can't think of a reason why not to do it then we should do it as doing things is obviously better than not doing them. Also it makes for more efficient speech.
Obviously if you think of something better to do than get wasted (or a reason not to do it) then doing that other thing is better and you ask yourself "why not do this other thing" upon which you either do that thing, don't do it due to a reason or do a better thing, etcetra.
Fuck yeah
Example:
Person A: Why not get wasted!?
B: Cause it's way more awesome to play ping pong.
A: Agreed. So why not play ping pong?
B: No reason, thusly we shall play ping pong.
This is superior to:
A: Let's get wasted!
B: Why should we get wasted?
A: Cause it's awesome.
B: But it's more awesome to play ping pong.
A: Agreed so let's play ping pong.
B: OK.

So, instead of getting wasted or playing ping pong, you decided to post about it on DaC?
What's the train of thought here, Wasted<Ping-Pong<Posting on DaC (whilst presumably high)?
Is this what's been keeping you up at night? Go to bed you lazy student

I actually came up with this idea independently as well and therefore I support this, although not just to getting wasted (what do you have a vendetta about getting wasted I mean come on who doesn't want to get wasted whenever they can I'm wasted right now and I have school in the morning also why play ping pong when you can get wasted AND PLAY PING PONG, done it before it's way fun), to everything really. if someone asks why, ask why not. in my view, it gives immediate perspective to an argument for something, making sure one considers the argument against doing any one action (the inverse is also true; if one asks oneself why not do something, ask then why do it). a pretty good way of thinking if you are not impulsive (lots of non-impulsive people have most likely figured this idea out on their own independently anyway), although if you are impulsive then who gives a shit about this boring shit anyway jesus.
Amen to that my brother!
