The Blob 88
I watched the blob last night, it was come 'highly recommended' from me!
It's about a blob that melts shit and eats people in a small town of course. I always get excited if in the opening credits of a movie contains 'creature effects'. I've been meaning to watch it for a while as I used to rent videos from a place that had sunbeds and you had to walk past the horror section. The cover for this was intersting 2 me. Here is a picture of a guy trapped in the blob lol.

I never saw the original Blob but I liked the 88 version had some nice blob tech in it. Also nothing beats pulling a guy through a bookshelf and breaking him in half. Also it was flat out killing kids, not very common today. Model creatures will always look better than CGI, but if they were ever to make a sequel it would be in CGI and look like crap.
The lead guy is now in entourage.

id seen the lead guy in a bunch of stuff as he looks like WALTON GOGGINS from the shield but i know hes not. i was thinking about a remake, as there will be one one day, and how theyd pretty much need the realistic/animatronic sludge effects in rather than cgi.
my vierw on cgi is ITs alright. on the one hand one can cry for the nostalgia of phnatom of the opera, on the other its only going to be as kitsch as say stop motion animation or something in 10 years. but yeah, id like a movie to go back to the nuts and bolts of special effects. its kinda making a resurgence in the last 3 years or so although i feel this is more of a marketing aspect than a creative choice as directors in the commentarys of films always witter on about how amazing the cgi is as if they havent seen a movie in the last 20 years. its pretty Bogus if u ask me?
at the moment i like films where people melt. i have street trash yet to watch which i hear is pretty splatterific but id like more suggestions from dac. usually i dont care about 80s gore shitz but i do like melting a whole lot.

Seriously, its one of the biggest let-downs ever. All my friends and the whole internets was talking it up like it was the best movie ever. And then I watch it. And its some idiot who beats up himself (!!!) several times over and over again, blows up some shit without any reasoning behind is covert-black-ops skills, shoots himself to kill the fictional self and that was it. End of movie.
Its not like the fight scenes were epic, or even above average. I think it's so popular because secretly people want to beat up/suck off Brad Pitt.
