Firefox 4
Have any of you tried this? Why do they feel the need to have to change everything? The only major break through in browsers was tabs, everything since then has been cosmetics and just ends up being annoying. All the tabs are on the top now and I'm so used to them being on the bottom that my super speed tabbing skills have taken a plunge when using them to surf porn and normal stuff when my parents are around, I lose like a second having to remind myself the tabs are on the top.
I just recently got my dads office to start using firefox, now with firefox 4 out it's going to be like teaching them how to use the internet. My dad hates tabbed browsing and disabled it permanently, he is also constantly opening and closing the browser instead of minimizing.
What are your guys favorite browser and why?

the real problem is when people add social media access into the OS itself. 1 messenger is the most any OS should come preinstalled with.
there are too many services on the web all trying to do their own thing . at this point it is annoying and making children feel like they need to be instructed on how to pee in a public pool.
i thought about programming a crude rpgcodex browser with an assembly language. maybe NASM. so windows and linux. mac os x isn't a codexian thing.
browsing that minmal, presents under the tree during the holidays feeling prosper-software.

I use Firefox and Netscape Navigator before that. Only people with no technical expertise use IE (to their eventual misfortune), Chrome sucks and I think Opera is the Mac OS browser so I can't take it seriously.

Safari is the officious Mac browser.
I prefer Firefox for Mac and Windows XP.
Use IE primarily for culling MS updates.
Have mid speed DSL, and Firefox "appears" more responsive. Safari feels s-laggy.
I reset Safari almost each time I use it, vainly hoping for less back trailing spam.
Maybe a certain data loading is enhanced when have your daily paths' "cookies" and pass-words already in the browser.
Have not used Firefox's low profile setting too much so far.
Have passed on Ffox ver. 4, because if it is so NN-NEW-WW!!1! then it will be so ... buggy.
Software, software never changes.

I tried Opera once. I am not fond of it. Wasn't it supposed to be the Netscape of the future?
Some people like it though, to each his own, if anyone says anything about a boat i will give them the boot through my new lcd.
Edit: I've not upgraded to firefox 4 yet. I'm going to milk 3.X as long as they support it.

I think your mistaking my post for other people's opinion of you. Which isn't anything new. You always make mistakes. For example, you keep posting on this site, under the impression that one day people will enjoy having you around.Stalagmite wrote:I picked it after your stupid worthless post so not me.Yonmanc wrote:Who's the queer that picked Chrome?

See, now that would have been a good response to that dig I made about amputated twats being more useful than you, seeing I mentioned "contribution". It's a shame you chose to respond to that in a completely different thread in a completely different set of circumstances.Stalagmite wrote:Yonmanc you don't contribute a damned thing so making this about me holds no water.
And that's where the problem lies. Had you responded to that with the post you just made then, it would have been great. I mean, you really stick it to me, really show me who the boss around here is.
Except this is a different thread, and that response is days overdue, which obviously means you've had to think about it. Kinda sad really.
Oh and "making this about me holds no water"
Sorry but no. If you're going to call someone out, you don't get to squirt bitch juice when they take a shit in your mouth.
Using fire4 now, changed over from 3 because it kept crashing. 4 seems "stabler" but I don't really like the new layout. I miss the bar at the bottom, hate the home button at top right instead of top middle and I can never find fucking refresh. Oh well, I still like it. It is however getting fucking heavy, I mean 135M of ram with one tab open on DaC, the fuck?
Chrome is alright I guess, I'm no fan of the minimalist type thingy and besides fox has like 9000 times the plugins so why bother?
