There has to be a really interesting bonus for me to pre-order anything, otherwise I just grab it from the store after release. It's not like titles ever get sold out on release day.

I thought packaging was redundant too but for last couple games that actually had useful manuals, it really sucks trying to read them on the computer. Even with a super computer, adobe reader can't scroll through the pages fast enough for me not to get annoyed.
