Please help me fill out this Job Application

Post by Pizzahut Lover »

I am not sure what else would be appropriate to list. I am applying for a game programming job. but my only employer i could think of was NMA, and i was more of an artist there than anythign.

Maybe i will have to note later on that i have done programming related tasks for Fallout 3. but not for any employer

I doubt you'll be contacted because you won't be match with any of their current or future open positions.

You do realize that when filling out job applications, creating fanart and mods as a hobby does not actually count as a job, right?

I don't think he does.

Sometimes fan art and modding can lead to a job. If you're exceptionally good at it and do it at an almost professional level, like those guys Valve hired who made that alien invasion mod for Unreal.

Cakester does not make the cut.

Didn't Obsidian also hire a guy who made an oblivion mod, oscuro or something?

They hire modders all the time. But the modders need completed mods.

The mods should also before Bethesda games. I have done some mods for Bethesda games. My biggest was the Multiplayer Fallout 3. The rest such as the creatures I made, will also determine if I will make it into their workforce.

It wanted a past history of jobs. So i think the farthest back I go is on NMA. And because I want to work on Fallout 4 there at Bethesda, I gave some details on what I did as a modder at NMA. Hold on got to crush aphid bug.0 crushed it on the zero key.

i flicked it to its death :drunk:

Yeah. Reason they hired him was because the Oblivion mod he made supposedly fixed most of Bethesda's mistakes. I'd imagine that's an important skill to have on your team when you're trying to make an actual Fallout game with an updated Oblivion engine that Bethesda further shat in while trying to ripoff Fallout.

i also thought so. but it seems they still like it when applicants have GECK experience. Why OBsidian hiring manager looks for GECK too, i don't know. i wonder if there will be a merger.

Does anyone know this person?

The number called me about 10-20 minutes ago. Seeing how it is in Irvine,CA that right away reminded me of Interplay, Bethesda, or Blizzard.

Bethesda is called Bethesda because they're in Maryland, not California.
