If you tell me you worked on Surf Nazis Must Die, it'll make my weekend.
I loved that first Toxic Avenger, especially the scene in the fast food weed with the fryalator and the milk shake mixer thingy. Ground breaking stuff. (might be wrong, bear in mind it's been 20+ years since I watched it).
Troma might not never have been big-budget or highbrow, but it never perpetrated to be otherwise. You got to respect that as opposed to pretentious big-budget shit where all the money went in to gratuitous, ineffectual CG.
I miss the 80s B movies - blood, breasts and beasts 4 life.

Yeah, I remember that one too.wasp1 wrote:did work on class of nuke'm
I always loved the continuity that came from having kind of a Tromaville universe that those movies were set in.
Plus, movies had a sense of humor about themselves back then. Movies generally take themselves way too seriously these days. Which, when they really aren't any better than an 80s B movie, and lack the gratuitous tits and gore, it's just depressing I tell you. I feel bad for the yoots of today, so deprived.
