Wtf is up with steam?
Wtf is up with steam?
I've been made aware that some of our prominent figures use that dastardly contraption to <strike>give out personal data for no goo-</strike> erm... play games and now all of a sudden they're making you folk <strike>wear the star of david on your sle-</strike> waive your rights to legal action of a class nature if you want to keep enjoying what you paid for. For obvious reasons this is probably shit-in-a-no-fly-zone in the EU, but what about you lot in the new world? Should I find a bunker to hide in for when the nerd rage inevitably devolves into a launching of tactical nuclear missiles? Also what happens if you say no?
DESPERATE.
This should cover it.

We let them in the first place. Then corporations got a whiff of this new found 'security', shot money at it, and look where it got us.
I uninstalled steam a few weeks ago because avast! said it had viruses. I don't doubt it. Now I can't play NV on my PC, thank god I can still play on my ps3.
And I don't GAF, as long as these dipshits I'm surrounded by continue to let these people mutilate their babies and get fed the crap on the news... they are pretty much asking for it. Meh

Even in the US, these types of user-agreement lines are supposedly not hold-up-able in court. So it means nothing.Tofu Man wrote:now all of a sudden they're making you folk <strike>wear the star of david on your sle-</strike> waive your rights to legal action of a class nature if you want to keep enjoying what you paid for.

Due to some fancy court thing that happened a month or so ago, it is now legal to do. In the US. This agreement doesn't really have any weight in aussieland courtroom ballads.King of Creation wrote:Even in the US, these types of user-agreement lines are supposedly not hold-up-able in court. If they are still copper, the heat could be reducing performance.Goretheglowingone wrote:

In the closing minutes of pre-zone time
With the world hanging over the edge
As the messages flew down the red hot lines
We did the body count in our heads
And the true believers looked on and laughed
As the landscape cracked and bled

Pink World (Planet P Project) is an awesome 80's album. It got a couple of songs play on MTV & got quickly banned. Hits the post-apoc on all levels .......... after the world went over the edge.
Neat record. Do check it out.

This is the one I was thinking of
The skeletons halfway through are cool
This fit in so well with the politics of the time, and other things topically related (Vic the MD mascot/etc).
I still have the 45. It's pink.
