skirmish mode: nobody there?

I have version 1.27. Chose the single player mission option off the menu. Then loaded the already provided missions ie. in the assault folder the uphill battle. Then clicked on start game. Nobody was there. Just the map and menu.
How do I load or create a team for the single player mission? I thought this game had a skirmish mode as indicated by the menu options.
Thanks :

Skirmish maps are multiplayer maps, you play with one player versus another. You only need to click on campaign in the Single Player menu. That will start the game properly.

Hey, does the "custom mission" option in single player menu appear after pathing the game? I don't have that option at all.

All i do is press single player, and its down there near the other custom one... What the hell are you talkin about? ... Pathing? Passing*? Oh, well i had it before i passed the game (if that helps you).

"pathing"
. Maybe it's the matter of game version. Ya know - I downloaded the OTB's mod and when i tried to run it, the only thing it did was a terrible language mess, but i couldn't launch it because of this damn "custom mission" option missing  .

lol, ok... Well, you might have to re-install.
Um, lol, the button might not be there, but the input might. Can you click on the background? Oh well, i'm going to bed... I'm confused. 8O

sure... Vvolf
it probubly is just a glitch or uninted side effect of that mod/patch you got.
if there is no way to Remove the patch, you probubly have to reinstall.

Nah.. it has never been there. And it's certainly not the matter of path, since i don't have any of them installed.

You have to have the v1.27 patch installed, Meths. That's the final patch that contains both the editors as well as the custom campaign and mission option tabs.
I'm not sure exactly what languages this patch was released for, or the problems that would result if you used the wrong language version.
