Movies are becoming more and more Fallouty...

Look at what one of the props of the up-coming Rob Zombie horror film 'House Of 1000 Corpses' has:<blockquote><center><img src="http://www.duckandcover.net/news/atomic ... kquote>Two headed brahmin! Will this change the fact that 'House of 1000 Corpses' is probably going to suck? No! Rob Zombie making a movie? I wish he would stick to failing utterly at making music instead of failing utterly to make movies.

A fat singer.

He's teaming up with Ozzy Osborne as well.

You might be surprised to learn that good ol' Rob's been tainting the minds of America's youth longer than you might think and in ways you might not suspect. Click here and scroll down to "Miscellaneous crew - filmography".

The first time I heard of Rob Zombie was in The Matrix, he did part of the music in the club.

From the title, I thought this thread was going to be about Reign of Fire, the most recent post-apocalyptic film I've seen. I came out of that film thinking about the potential for a role playing game set in the aftermath (picking up where the film ends).

Yeah, Reign of Fire was a great post-apoc film. But it should have been a sequel. The first film should have shown the war between the humans and dragons.

Only a real artist knows the actual anatomy of the terrible, or the physiology of fear - the exact sort of lines and proportions that connect up with latent instincts or heriditary memories of fright, and the proper colour contrasts and lighting effects to stir the dormant sense of strangeness.

Hmm, isn't Rob Zombie responsible for the soundtrack of Quake? Or if it was Q2? Can't quite remember.
But yes, I think the movie will suck phat.

Q1 was Trent Rexnor, and quite frankly his tracks were too "ambiant"

Doom3'll be by Trent once again.

I don't recall for Quake 2/3 however...

Hmm, yes it was too ambient, didn't quite fit in the theme or was too unnoticeable. All I can remember is the music from Wolfenstein 3D, great stuff. :)

I always liked the music from Tetris on Gameboy, myself. Jeremy Soule, eat your heart out!

Speaking of post-apoc movies, I saw one yesterday. A movie called Damnation Alley I missed the first half, but based on the description in the TV listings and the movie itself, it appeared to be about some Air Force guys travelling across the post-WWIII wasteland in some super-APC. They once meet mutants who are nearly ghouls, but that's pretty much the only exciting thing that happens.

Wasn't the soundtrack of Quake done by Nine Inch Nails?

Hm, I still like the music from Super Metroid and Shadowrun on the SNES. The music from Monkey Island 3 is great though.

Trent Reznor is with Nine Inch Nails. I'm not sure if they performed it, though.

I thought so also.

That's why they wrote NIN on all the Nail boxes.

Yep, that's a cheesy, b-grade PA classic all right. George Peppard in his pre-my-career-is-shit-but-I-need-a-paycheck-so-I'll-do-this-shitty-A-Team-gig days, along with that hero of shitty, direct-to-video movies Jan-Micheal Vincent.

Add to that the mutant cockroaches and the "Land Master" they're cruising around in and you can't go wrong!
