campaign revisit????

I've looked through the forum about how to revisit a map(to set
it up),and can't find anything. I've been just creating a new map and continuing there. But that's going to be one hell of a
zip file to download. What or how do I set this up in the text file?

Which of the following fits what you're trying to do?
  • Have a map that the player can revisit from the World Map.
  • Have a map that is entered w/the GoToMission trigger and can then be re-entered using the same type of trigger.

Have a map that the player can revisit from the World Map.

I tried to mark it as visited in the map editor, but it just started
the map from the begining.

Did you set up a trigger that set the mission to "Complete" when the player exits the first time?

I'll have to try and see what the hell I did.
Tonight I'm working on the map.

Here's one for ya, my map is just one big
map that is broken up at first, but at the end of the
campaign the whole map is loaded. map size is now 2.6 megs,
but only half way and unprogramed. Hopefully out
before the next Fallout game (next year).

I'll get back with you on the revisit,

Okay, I'll take a look at some missions to refresh my memory on exactly how to do this. (It's been a while. )

Your ideas sounds interesting. You'll probably beat me out of the gate w/the release, though.

Cheers,

Ahaha.

Thanks for the laugh.

(Not of the timing of your mod, but of your expentencies of the next Fallout)

Wouldn't it really suck though, if you spent
all time on a campaign. And when you finished,
they put one out. I've been working on the map
for 8 months now. But I've found that the programing
is less time consuming that the tile laying. SO, once that's
done it will go faster.

Shhh! Don't say that! You'll jynx us!

Yes, I sometimes wake up screaming in the night having just dreamed that this has happened to me...

Oh yeah, putting a really good map together is a lot of work and the vast majority of the time will be spent placing tiles. (Especially if you're like me and like to revise maps about a half-dozen times until you get that warm, fuzzy feeling when you look at it.) Scripting is usually pretty quick, unless you run into something that is hard to do w/the extant FoT triggers and have to resort to some funky voodoo/mojo/juju. Sound is a breeze once you figure out what you're doing. That part only takes an hour or so/map.
