Improved encounter combat

Well it should have some form of tactical combat. Ya I won't gain any friends by saying this, but standing around in an encounter fully upright blasting away with a shot gun is pretty lame now. At least add a crouch/crawl/ stand algorythm to make combat encounters more interesting. I know, I know... its supposed to be a RPG so encounter combat can get away at being half assed and lame.

Crouching/Standing/Prone systems really only work well for TB combat. If they're going to stick to TB, which they should, putting in stances would be fine.

definitly agree but do you really think there is any possiblity of it not being it TB. That would be so terrible for me i would have to kill myself.

Knowing BIS, they'll make it real time thus cementing my opinion that no one there actually "gets" what Fallout was designed to be.

Having stances would allow you to make better use of cover. Like you could crouch behind barrels, lie down behind short rock formations, that kind of thing instead of standing around like an idiot waiting to be shot.

Uncontrolled reactions is something I'd like to see as well. Like if you get shot at, your character should at least duck or go prone in responce.

and maybe there could be a perk or trait that would stop that if you wanted

Crouch, prone, battle field obstacles, suppressive fire, smoke, auto-defence etc.. are all welcome additions to Fallout combat. There are people who like JA/X-COM style of combat and Fallout 3 should definitely keep the good ol' turn-based combat. The problem is the 'new market', people who don't have the ability to complicated thinking, concentration and patience. I call them sheeps. How to make turn-based combat attractive to sheeps? That is the question. I truly hope combat wont be watered down to continous turnbased.

I agree. In fact, a combat system like JA2 would be great for Fallout, since it would allow for stealthy take-downs and more.

Fileds of vision would be handy as well. Means you could sneak behind someone without them knowing you're there.

Yeah, would work if you're a thief type character. Also, enemies should be able to hear you if you are trying to get past or silently kill them. This would depend on your sneak skill of course. If you get caught, game will switch to combat mode. I'd rather have smarter enemies to increase combat difficulty than having lots of enemies for that matter.

Game developers obviously. MONEY

Could be a kind of perk based on your sneak skill, i dunno.

Yeah the sad thing is we live in the sheeps world. There is no escaping it we are surrounded by people who refuse to think or take their time and if something dosen't have good graphics they trash it.

It's not only graphics. Graphics, advertisement, name and gameplay to some amount, it depends on a lot of things. People bought Warcraft 3 even if the graphics weren't that special. People bought warcraft 3 because they've heard Warcraft 2 was a friggin cool game. And that Blizzard made the über-cool Diablo games. |<3w1, huh?

People say graphics don't matter. True, as far as gameplay goes, graphics don't do much. But the graphics are what draws you to look at the game. They give you a little taste. Many games have tricked people by looking good and being crap or looking crap and being good.

Yes that is generally true even for me but what attracts me isn't really the graphics themselves but a lack of graphics. What im saying when i look for a game the ones that attract my attention are the ones without good grahics. This is because if the game was released with much worse graphics than its competetors then the game is probably not geared toward sheep. Which means it will wont try to please the sheep. Plus i generally don't buy 3-d games.
