Bishop?

If we want the main character of FO3 to be another descendant of the Vault Dweller, maybe he could be a descendant of the son of the Chosen One and Angela Bishop (according to one of New Reno endings)?

"Not long after the destruction of the Enclave, the Bishop
Family of New Reno was blessed with a child. This child
seemed to have little in common with the Bishops, preferring
instead to spend his days exploring the wastes. When he
turned thirteen, he seized control of the Bishop Family and
led them to victory over the remaining New Reno families. He
died quietly in his sleep at the age of seventy-three, never
having known his real father."

Fallout 3: New Reno mayhem!
A nice suggestion for a starting point for Fallout 3, too bad it's controversial with the NR ending, as we'd already know what kind of guy The Chosen One jr. would be. Oh, and I don't like New Reno too much...

I'd prefer this one:
"In the years following the destruction of the Enclave, a new
family arose in New Reno, following the example of a simple tribal
that had once visited their city. They were few in number but
surprisingly resourceful. Driven by religious fever, they took
control of New Reno and put the other families to the spear.
After their victory, they sent out messengers across Northern
California looking for their founder, but without success. Many
felt that the founder had been taken by the fortune spirits and
now dwelled in a casino paradise in the sky."

I think it'd be best to never mention New Reno in another Fallout game ever.

As far as the Bishop thing, that would assume way too much about what the Vault Dweller did. It would make him a "he", of lower moral standing, and so on.

New Reno wasn't all bad. Actually i liked idea of having a place where i could really do whatever i want, without loses of karma.

if they were fairly religiouse, they could become another group of whatever, that could be rivals or enemys with the children of the cathedral, or the hubologists or something

New-Reno didn't fit the Fallout setting at all.

I don't think the game needs places you can: "do whatever you want, without losing karma".
If you want to do whatever you want be ready for the karma change, embrace it. that is the nature of role playing.

New Reno had potential, but it was so fucked up designed it made no sense. It'd be fun to wander around among ruins of destroyed casinos. But not in a New Reno style of crime-ridden filthy paradise.

And without the 100 pop culture references, thank you.

Well really New Reno is ok after you kill everyone there. Then it actually has some charm and the smell of rotting bodies.

New Reno had its charm, no doubt about it. Even though it didn't fit the setting.
