Only ask as it's sort of in the forefront of my mind, what with being a student and all that jazz.
I vote GUINESS! :D

I'm a intelligent person, seing the cons with alcohol, and not seeing how the pros of it can make up for the cons. You should see this too, but unluckily you don't...

Guinness is life.

It's heavy, leaves you with a momentary feeling of happiness, and is best shared with friends (who buy their own fucking beer.)

Nor Sake. You can tell Sake is a Japanese drink. It comes in, does it's job, and leaves politely.

Still, a little alcohol every once in a while is a good thing. It kills weak brain cells and cleans out the plumbing. It reduces stress.

Like everything else, too much is a bad thing.

In large quantities, it dehydrates you, poisons you, and causes a massive loss in seratonin levels, which makes you depressed. It also leaches minerals from your body, and make you hung over.

I prefer Sake. Sake is pure.

Whiskey or guiness (or at least a dark beer) for me- everything else is just flavored water (the beers, at least).

If anyone lives in the northern US, I'd suggest looking for/sampling any of the following:
Shipyard Ales http://www.shipyard.com/
Gritty McDuff's http://www.grittys.com/
Red Hook (mainstream, but cheap and good) http://www.redhook.com/index2.html
Stone Coast Brewing (home of the 420 IPA!) http://www.stonecoast.com/

Of course, that's just what I've been drinking in the last week or so...
And try the 420 IPA... great stuff.

Guinness is ok, but I couldn't drink it all the time.

It's a light beer, that's why. I don't enjoy watery beers.

I say the reinheitsgebot should be used world-wide!

Cascade also makes regular strength beers.

a "Light" beer is not watery, rather the alcohol content is lower. Still tastes the same, just not as alcaholy (if that is a word).

I like beer, but I've developed the following expense habits, booze wise:-

- Fine wines
- 10 y.o. or older single malts
- Vintage ports

Top drinking tips for you youngsters:-

- Don't touch Thunderbird or other 'fortified' wines...unless you think winos are cool.

- Hops (beer) before grapes (wine) before grain (spirits) if you're planning your night out...

- Don't mix Pernod with other spirits...even better, don't drink it at all!!

- Be very f**king careful with cocktails....you can drink these suckers all too easily - resulting in a most unpleasant night in your local ER!

- If you drink some of your dads good whiskey are you know he'll find out, buy him a better bottle as a way of saying sorry.

Cheers!!!

I don't really drink... But when I do, beer is not good enough.

I'll just take some nice doses of Cognac...

But there doesn't seem to be Cognac on your list, so I must say Vodka/Bacardi/Koskenkorva. There you go!
