Anyone watch the premiere of "Boomtown" on NBC last Sunday? It was pretty good. At first, I thought it would be a ripoff of 24, but it's fairly original on its own.
I think I ended up watching Homicide for about 5 minutes before my eyes glazed over. Besides, most cop dramas suck donkey. But Boomtown has a unique storytelling device, so it could work.
It was good, yet no where near any of the great Homicide episodes.
Ever seen the one with Robin Williams?
Or anything?
THE great thing about 24 was it's structure. Homicide, however was flowing freely with greatness and/or brilliance on many early occasions.
