Could need some assistance (my allies disappeared?)

Could need some assistance (my allies disappeared?)

Post by flossin »

I've been playing for a while now, and I have, no HAD, Vic and Myron in my party until recently. I am sure we entered New Reno together, but somewhere in that godawfully depressing city I must've lost them, because when I came to Golgotha, they were gone.
This sounds ridicolous, but anyway, I went around New Reno looking for them in all possible places. Gone.
Where the fuck<--(this is "fallout"-language so it should be permitted =) are they? I'm not sure I'd actually need them in combat, but I suppose they could be needed in some quests, and what worries me the most is the fact that they're walking around with 120 poounds of equipment that actually belongs to me.
Since it's a Mob-town I suppose I could get a hitman to do the job =) but I'd prefer finding them myself.
Anyway, is this a bug? Is there anything I can do to get them back (except reloading - havn't saved much lately)? Will I have to live through this alone?

I don't remember any disappearing NPCs quests, so it's probably yet another Fallout 2 bug...

I remember reading a while ago that when you sleep with either one of the Bishop women, your NPCs can disappear. Did you sleep with Angela or the Ms.? If you did, you'll just have to reload or (*shudder*) restart the game.
How appropriate. You fight like a cow.

If you danced mambo between the sheets at the Bishop's place, then go fuck her again and your allies should re-appear.

But of course!
Love is the solution to everything. Damn, woman, stealing my NPCs, now that's some nasty trick.

Nope, I have the patched version and I still keep getting that bug.

At least the patch fixes the trunk bug.

I never encountered the trunk bug when playing the unpatched version. Should I consider myself lucky for that? I mean, did it really happen that often?

YES.... More than you could even imagine... In every single town, sometimes even on special encounters.... Fuck...

Ugh... I remember that stupid trunk bug. Thank God for the patch + the savegame converter.
