The Glow

Post by Snake »

I've started a new game of Fallout and am stuck at The Glow
I've managed to get all three pass; yellow, red and blue
I've turned on the power and talked to Zax the super computer
Now how do I get out of there?
I've done it before many months ago and have forgot
I've tried using rope on the blasted floors but nothing happens
Thx in advance

Go to level 1. You should be able exit the area by the giant hole on the map, IIRC. Try to look around if you see a rope(the rope you used to get down the in the first place). Have you tried the elevator shafts on the first floor? I don't remember exactly since it's been a long while since the last time I've played Fallout. I guess exiting the Glow was never a problem for me.

Go to the first flow. The rope you used to get down there should be hanging down on a pile of rocks.

Thx, found it now
The rope is at the top of level 1, near the rubble
I kept thinking it was near the blast hole
Now I have two power armours, ha ha

Explain: glow --> two power armours?!

Hope you didn't forget to visit level 5 in the glow..
Before the war, they were know as milking machines.
Now I use one to piss.
Does that answer your question?

I forgot where the computer that challenges you to a game of chess is.
I never won against him/it/her, so I was wondering wether or not you can actually win.

Easy
- I rescued the missing intiate before going to The Brotherhood
- Messed about here and there
- Went to the glow
- Got stuck and then left the glow
- Went to the Brotherhood
- Spoke to Kyle and talked about the missing Power Armour part
- Spoke to Michael and begged for the part without the paper work and got it
- Spoke to the trainer, forgot his name, he rewards me with experince and a power armour suit
- See Michael again and get the second suit

Its almost useless though as only the main character you play can wear it and its worth heaps of money, more than most merchants can give you

I thought you couldn't talk to the triner(Thomas).

I have a high speech but I can't talk to him. High CH or reputation perhaps?

He's called Talus, and you HAVE to talk to him, so everyone probably has.

OK. This way I've gotten those power armours too, but that didn't have a direct connection with the Glow. That's what I was wondering. I thought you found another one there.

He meant Talus? The guy in the PA next to the door, not the guy on the mat right? It's been I while since I've played FO1.

I was talking about Thomas.

I meant Snake's original post. I still think that it's impossible to talk to Thomas.

Hmm...so then, anyone ever managed to unlock that door with the crates and BOS in it?

The only way that I know to get into the supply room is to go to war with the brotherhood. If anyone knows another way, I'd be interested.

I HAVE once mawed the whole brotherhood down, but I can't remember if there's anything useful in those crates. Maybe a waterchip ;-)

I assume you could get into it by superstimming the guards. It's a nice way to 'friendly' eliminate people.

It's just a massive supply room. If I remember correctly there's virtually every item in the room and plenty of amunition. I think there are also a few suits of PA in there. To get in just use the electronic lockpick whilst in combat mode.
