Oh the fun you can have with reports...

Reported by: Sum d00d

Interplay Entertainment chairman and chief executive officer Herve Caen on Tuesday announced a series of management changes said to further the company's move toward being content-driven, as opposed to the current drivel of shit that they've been pushing out for years. Phillip Adam, a 12-year-old employee of Interplay, was named president. Company executives feel the 12 year old would be better at running the games company rather than some french guy, who was their other choice. Adam joined the company as vice president of sales and marketing in December 1990, soon after he was born. He has served as vice president of business development since October 1994. From 1984 to 1990, his mother served as president of Spectrum Holobyte, an interactive entertainment software publisher she co-founded before her son was even conceived.

Additionally, Gary Dawson was appointed chief operating officer. Dawson has more than 30 years of management experience in consumer products. No-one knows exactly what *type* of consumer products he was managing though, as the test results from the lab were inconclusive. Most recently, he held the position of vice president sales and marketing at Interplay. Gary Dawson was also recently nominated as "Employee most likely to be shot" by fans at this years Annual Fallout Convention.

Caen also announced that chief financial officer Jeff Gonzalez has left the company. Publicly, no-one will comment, but privately, sources expected the move. I mean, who wouldn't want to leave that stinking financial ruin anyway? Well, at least before the thing collapses completely. Caen will serve as interim CFO until a replacement is named. Caen hopes to have fun with the numbers of the company. When concerns were raised about his ability to count, Caen reportedly stamped his foot and shouted "Leave me alone! I want my mummy!" in French.

"These strategic actions represent another important step in the execution of our company," commented Caen. "Coupled with the fact that North American sales, distribution and marketing have plummeted and are now handled by our distribution partner, Vivendi, this reorganization clears away the final remnants of the pure publisher model at Interplay, leaving Interplay as little more than a gaping hole in the ground with nothing much to offer. We hope to sell off our developing divisions next, then re-birth the Interplay brand as a pornographic web-site with the motto "By whores, for whores". Speculation that we would venture into mining like so many other tech companies after the crash is wrong, just plain wrong. Although I have heard rumours about there being a gold field in Feargus' office."

Analysts give the company 3 months before it shrivels up and dies.
