I never really knew much radiation in the game, besides it's bad.
can some of you enlight me about this metter ?

1 - what's the damage rad can cause ?
2 - how much rads really count as dangerous ?
3 - for how much time Rad-X works ?
4 - can rad damage be healed or it's permenent ?
5 - can team mates (Dogmeat!) become radiated ?
6 - rad resistance -> does it reduce the chance of getting radiated or reduces the rad ammount the body gets ?
7 - does getting melee hits from radiated creatures radiates me ?

thank you ppl !

Know one thing:

Radiation casues permanent loss in stats(both prim. and der.).

That's all I know...
And-Isn't it random?

You can't travel very far on the map without stoping and puking and losing health if you're really radiated.

1 - what's the damage rad can cause ?
It depends on the amount of radiation. It ranges from HP damage to stat damage.
2 - how much rads really count as dangerous ?
I would say that 150 rads would be dangerous.
3 - for how much time Rad-X works ?
Less than 48 hours.
4 - can rad damage be healed or it's permenent ?
HP damage can be healed. Stat damage cannot.
5 - can team mates (Dogmeat!) become radiated ?
No.
6 - rad resistance -> does it reduce the chance of getting radiated or reduces the rad ammount the body gets ?
I think the rad amount the body gets.
7 - does getting melee hits from radiated creatures radiates me ?
Yes. Getting hit from the ghouls in Necropolis will radiate you.

Hmm, I searched for radiation damage in Per's FO2 guide and here's what I found.

Code: Select all

W00t! It doesn't affect luck! :)
Then again, if you've accumulated over 500 rads, I guess it's safe to say you're shit out of luck.

Actually, in the unpatched version of Fallout, radiation will boost your stats. Sloppy coding...

wasnt that because it never lowered it and then you end up recovering from it or something? or just some glitch>?
