Zax, the Glow, n lil bit of Dogmeat

Post by Grey »

Got all the keycards, was on all the 6 floors, found all the holodiscs (3 ?).

2 things i gotta know.

1 - is there any way of gettin Zax letting me in the mainframe ?
2 - some guy talked about 2 power armors that can be found on this place. i was lookin in all the containers and i haven't even found one. where the hell are them ?

btw, is there a way to control, in any small way, in Dogmeat's fighting style ? he keeps running into my machine gun bursts, and that has a .. bad effect on him.

1- Yes, i think its science skill, but playing chess with the computer may help (be warned that this takes time and your rad-x may stop working during this time)

2-Beats me.

3-No. Dogmeat just dies. Every damn time...

1. yeah i guess science is the problem
2. no power armors in the glow (there are 2 of them in bos bunker on first floor in the closed room - probably that's the place he meant)
3-No. Dogmeat just dies. Every damn time...
only if you're lazy. You can close him behind green forcefields or close doors behind him to keep him alive. It's a bit of a challenge but if you succeed you're really happy. :D

They should have had a special ending if dogmeat survived. It'd be like "and you and your faithful dog wondered into the wasteland"

lol spyder, that sounds perfect for dogmeat.

you Can get 2 pairs of PA legitly, rescue the bos guy in the hub, and ask whats-his-face in the bos that handels equiptment for a systematic motivator for the broken suit.

ah, another question to add, whats the deal with that sasha dog at the back of the cathedral? is this just here to perplex you or is it a broken quest? i cant find a way to get to her. i wanted it to mate with dogmeat

That's just a developer in-joke. Sasha is the dog of somebody who used to be at Interplay, and that dog made it into most every Interplay game. Usually, it was in the "special thanks to" section of the manuals, but they put Sasha right into Fallout. There is no way to get to the dog and she probably dies when the bomb in the cathedral goes off.

I hate it when they "Don't let you get to it"!

Jesus, it would be cool to have "2" dogs following you around.

You can, in fact, in Fallout 2 have 4 dogs(or doglike creatures) in your party. Dogmeat, K9, robodog and Pariah dog. Oh, and I didn't mention Smoke or Laddie, which are temporal NPCs.

I think you just strip down to your vault suit and have a V13 water flask in your inventory.

Well .. does getting Dogmeat on FO2 gives the usefull option to control his fighting style ? He's quite good on FO1 ... in fact, he seems better then any dog or wolf i've ever seen in FO1 & 2.
I really think that was a good idea, adding him. That's the first game I've ever seen (and it's not a very new game too) that allows you to have a dog. and some dog that is

Dogmeat is a full-out party member with combat control modes and all that stuff.

I always gave in an Iguana-on-a-stick. Unfortently, my game always crashes when I get the thing in my party. Alot more fun approach is to shoot him, then kill Mel, then take Mel's gun :)

My char, having 10 IN and 150% science ALWAYS got into the mainframe.
That pretty much answered your question.

Never won a game of chess though.
Before the war, they were know as milking machines.
Now I use one to piss.
Does that answer your question?

You need to "critically hit" your "intelligence roll" with 10int to win a chess game against him...

And it's usually not worth it since the time it takes to win at chess will make your Rad-X wear off and cause death in large quantities.
