MY UPCOMING FALLOUT CAMPAIGN

My upcoming fallout mod "In the Edge of the Line" is now under development.
"In the Edge of the Line" features:
- A new setting and atmosphere. 185 years after Fallout 2. This time, everything takes place somewhere in Northern America. Not sure where
but life is getting easier (location will be revealed later on).
- The story focuses on the main character, Robert Finn, as we play his action packed life. Play as the DSA special agent as he tries to stop a band of terrorists plotting to destroy Northville.
- play through different heart pounding mission objectives such as assassinating a mob boss, disarming the bombs attached to the hostages, sneaking your way to a target's office, and buying a donut for your girlfriend
.
- all new thrilling music to bring all new feeling!
- you can choose up to 4 Counter Terrorist Force commandos to aid you in your mission, with different skills.
- the game will use real weapons, no energy weapons...and they are modified to balance the gameplay.
more features coming soon. website coming soon, too.

Hey, nice wait and death screens you got there.
How far along would you say you are? Also, do you have an estimated finish date? I know those are hard to set, but if you got one, its nice to know

just expect it to come about february or march next year.
this is hard work, being a one man commando at this
mod project. well, i had some appointed beta testers so
it might become well.
i got a two problems, though.
i need help with the speech and the trigger. please tell me how i can makes speeches for the NPCs, floating and window style. How can i make trigger events to make my desired situations to happen (i.e. after saving a man, player have to detonate a bomb to finish the mission).
second, please explain to me how i can create an exit grid or how to make it appear and what location.
if i solve this mysteries, i am all set. oh, and please support my project.
Making a mod for me is like shooting an action-thriller movie

Hey foxtail, you should look over the tutorials I have online over at NMA:
JJ86 Tutorials
The last one in particular shows how to set up speech with triggers and even has some pictures for showing exactly how to do it. But look all of the tuts over and you'll get a better idea how things work.

You should update your Sprite tutorial since you can edit the bounding box values of sprites -- but sadly you can't save them yet, sorry... But the point would be that you can use Red!Viewer to know the proper values for depth/width/height and then slap them back into spray.
Juist an idea.

Hey Red, yeah I'll look over them this weekend and maybe make some updates. Odin still needs to give an admin account over there so I can update the pages without bothering him. How's the Redviewer changes coming along? Are you going to be making any newer updates? Please?
many thanks

wow, making speeches is actually cool. thanks anyway, jim.
i wrestled with it for 3 days. careful reading make sense.
do you guys know how to make pictures of an in-game screen.
i just want to show my game's screenshots.
A feature from my game:
- hummer is widely used in "In the Edge of the Line".
That means that people have each one at their home.

While in game hit printscreen. It copies the gamescreen in a folder screenshots. You can manipulate and post it in your sign and then connect to DAC forums.
If this is a single player campaign, would you mind If I add you to the list?
If so drop a line in my e-mail...
thanks

thanks for the tip about the screenshots. i'll be posting them shortly.
i keep asking a lot, didn't I? another question: does any of you guys know how to make movies for the game. I'll be glad to know if i can convert some of my movie files into the game.
thanks anyway and support "In The Edge of the Line". I am working as hard as ten brahmins to make this game as enjoyable and unique as possible.

No, asking questions is not wrong...if they're the right type of questions!
Btw, I made a mistake up there, it's "site", not "sign".
I want to make movies too, and I have the relative files stored somewhere, in order to use when time comes, but I haven't checked with it for some time. I'll try to get it for you, but don't wait an answer soon, minimum 5 days probably... Do you have any external software btw? Cause there aren't any in game tools for that...
I will add your campaign shortly...

thanks, flamescreen.
---------
hint: the game's main character, Robert Finn, can talk with people thanks to the help of scripted dialogues. We can finally see what kind of a person he is.

Just checked it. It looks good...like the layout. You might want to check your security though. It says in the gallery page I think, you're using...amount of your storage or somethin'. People might want to play tricks with you.
Will add your site in a sec(o.k. more than that). Just typing something in a board and watching after my new site...(No, not flamepage)
Update You're on the list now foxtail. You replaced DTeam's project. You can find it in this
thread
Btw, to make a site link look better, you just have to select it, push the URL button up there, enter the = symbol and your address after URL and you're done(what I did with the link of the thread).
