got problems with end game

i have been playing for only a little while and i finally got to the end game (oil rig)
here is the rub, i cannot get any options on the computer terminals to work ,i got the pres keycard and have tried to use it on the terminal as an item ,tried my science skill ,and every other thing i can think of ,no dice

i tried every terminal in the rig and have yet to find a way to end the game ,there is no horrigan char people have told me of or anything ,i talked to the elder in her cell and tried to blow up the zuper comp even, no go .

what else is there to do? what have i missed? or is it a gliche and do i have to start over again?

talk to a certain scientist (if your speech is high enough) that is in the room with the atom-bomb looking thing. if you talk right, you can convince him to release FEV (un-tainted version) into the air system. this will kill everyone without power armor on. now you can steal the president's pass key (no PA on him!) and plant some dino-mite in the computer room (with the big computer.. north of the inacessible reactor room) now... run like hell! (if you try to plant the explosives with the scientists alive, they will start combat and tons of people in PA will attack. so thats why you want them dead!)

get to the main entrence room. talk to the people in PA in the room right before the main room. this is sg.granite and his crew. convince them to fight alongside you against horrigan. now (save) and run like hell to the computer terminal to the bottom corner of the room. use it and activate the counter insergence (i think thats what it was called) program and the turrets should open fire on horrigan. along with sg.granite's crew and the turrets horrigan should be distracted wile you beat the crap out of him.
heheh, when he "explodes" dont attack him any more. just talk to him and leave him to be blown up with the rig.

...or just "push" scientists quite far from you - they won't react when you plant the bomb. (sneaking recomended)

Or just walk into the room and plant the explosives when all the scientists have their backs turned. It works quite well.

Go with the "talking to the scientist and killing everyone who isn't in PA" method. It saves a lot of bullets and time in the Enclave.

Also, you can plant explosives on the prez, and run to a faraway room, so he blows, and, usually, no one attacks you.

My preference is going into the Oil Rig hostile. With the shoot everyone approach it's the best fight in the game. I'm usually the only one that walks out of there alive.

Role playing through it can be fun a time or two & I'd suggest you give both options a try.

sulik can do some damage with a what-cha-ma-callit knife... wakazoa?
as long as hes at his top level, heheh. it pierces quite well.

also, marcus does ok with an AP loaded avenger(?, second best) minugun, because it takes AP ammo.
and for me... i used the LSW, or the bozer. alternating between them. (lsw=3 bursts, bozar=2 bursts and then reload)

yea.

btw, i didnt say that you can plant the dyno-mite with thier backs turned... I deny these wild alligations! :wink:

Well actually if you refer the sneak way, you can sneak all the way to the computer terminal in the big room (where Horrigan is located) without the monster even noticing you.

Just wear an Advanced Power Armor and leave your NPCs in the room where you'll fight Horrigan and you can walk around the Oil Rig freely. That makes the end a bit too easy though, but definitely works better than the sneak option.

You know, the REALLY easy way of doing it is waiting until one is next to the console. Just plant [using steal] the dynomite on the scientist. It takes him out AND the computer at the same time.

Nifty huh?
