Drugs rock!

i usually (always) play through fallout without the use of drugs.. the ocasional mentats here and there, but none of the "performence enhancing" stuff.
and this time... i used drugs... and they rock! lol
i got addicted to buffout, but its so cheap that it doesnt matter. yea. drugs make fallout more fun.

just wanted to share my personal discovery..heheh

I found Buffout to be quite effective throughout my last game of FO2.

u got it right

drugs make everything more fun

but if u get into the heavy stuff dont expect to recover

i heard a heroine addict friend of mine once say taking that first syringe of horse is like aiming a gun at your head and firing

only diffrence is H takes longer to kill a man

if u saw the "before/after" versions of him ud belive him too

heheh


yea, phsyco is really a great help when it comes to deathclaws or other large melee based oponents. and buffout can add that 10th action point so you can shoot 2 times in one turn. they really do help.
oh, and its really funny when you talk to NPC's when youre in mentats withdrawl. all you can say is "Ugh? oooga... boo?" and such. and they yell at you beacuse youre and addict

I never need drugs.

I found the deathclaws to be rather easy, with a HtH character.

I played through the game with a severely retarded character that had an intelligence of 1, a charisma of 10, and a luck of 2, just to challenge myself. I chose Doctor, Speech, and Barter as my three tag skills, and chem reliant and good-natured as my two optional traits.


I ended up using almost all of my stimpacks in the rat caves at the very beginning of the game;I even died twice. I exhausted all of my available uses of the Doctor and First Aid skills just to keep me alive for the next fight, and even then it was some miracle when I got to the end of the cave.

I immediately travelled to Shady Sands. Upon arrival, I began making use of my steal skill to provide myself with some much-needed supplies for the next phase of the game: Vault-15 and Necropolis.

After I rid Vault-15 of its rat infestation, I headed straight to Necropolis, where I talked with Set and got the location of the watershed. It was there that I faced my first big battle: Harry the mutant!

I didn't really have to fight him, as the dialog with him ends peacefully if your character has a low intelligence score. However, I had been given a job to do, and I had to do it. I attacked Harry with a submachine gun in burst mode, dealing 3 points of damage. I panicked and ran off the map. When I returned, I found him at the edge of the map, well out of the aggro radius of the other mutants. In the tense battle that followed, I finally got a critical hit with my submachinegun, killing him instantly. The rest of the mutants weren't much of a problem for my submachinegun (Note: When I say that it wasn't much of a problem, I mean that I had to reload about ten times only). I got the water chip without killing more than two glowing ghouls, and I returned to Vault-13...but not before stopping at the Hub and purchasing 15 mentats, 11 rad-aways, and 5 rad-x's.

After returning the water chip and temporarily saving the Vault, I headed on over to the glow, where I picked up the holodisk off of the corpse in power armor. I didn't bother with the lower levels of the base;I just got out of there fast and went back to the Hub.

In Old Town, I rescued the Brotherhood of Steel member from the thugs that had locked him up. Before talking to him, I used a couple of my mentats so that I wouldn't be a blithering idiot. As soon as he thanked me, I left the Hub and travelled to the Brotherhood of Steel.

There I took a couple of mentats and talked to Cabbot. I gave him the holodisk and gained entry into the bunker. I walked on over to Talus and asked him to key in authorization for a suit of power armor. I got the power armor and quickly paid Vree a visit before the drug's effects wore off. I asked her about the mutant problem and got the autopsy holodisk. I then went to the Children of the Cathedral south of the Boneyard.

After stealing a COC badge from one of the purple-robed men, I unlocked the door and went upstairs to give Morpheus an irrefusable offer. Before talking to him, however, I made sure to take a couple of mentats so that I would be able to have an intelligent conversation with him, and, later, the Master.

I told him that I had information on my Vault that I would like to tell the Master, and he took me to him.

It had been a year since I last played the game and I wasn't exactly sure how the conversation went, but after applying some good common sense and some trial and error, I finally hit the right dialog path to tell the Master of the mutant's sterility. I convinced him that his life work was in vain, and he set the timer for the Cathedral's self-destruction.

I escaped the Master's lair, but not before taking advantage of my intelligence to hack into one of the computers and find the location of the Military Base.

I went straight to the military base and activated my radio. The patrolling mutants mistook my cry of 'eek' for a plea for assistance, and all of them except for the one guarding the entrance left the map.

Here I fought my biggest battle yet. My character was only lvl 9 and none of his skills were at the 60%+ mark other than speech, which was at the time 102%. I had a 5% chance of successfully hitting him with my super sledgehammer.

The battle lasted for half an hour, and ended with my death. Luckily, I had saved the game mid-battle. I reloaded, and this time I got some lucky hits. I took the holodisk off of his dead body and entered the base.

When the mutants in the hallway attacked me, I ran past them and through the force fields. They nearly killed themselves trying to get to me, and when two of them caught up with me and began to smack me around with their fists, the one with a rocket launcher fired at me. The attack nearly killed me, but it did kill the two mutants that were beating me up. I used a super stimpack and ran up to the rocket launcher toting mutant. He fired at me with his rocket launcher, dealing massive damage to me, and killing himself in the process.

I was determined from that point to never again fight those mutants. Instead, I just ran away whenever they attacked me. It was a very frustrating experience, but I eventually got to the vat control room and set the place to blow up in three minutes. I hastily made my escape from the doomed Military Base and watched the ending, very pleased with myself for having beaten the game with such a weak and pathetic character.

And I wouldn't have been able to pull it off without those mentats...

those commercials are such a joke, i mean, who in thier right mind would use a remote controll boat to get thier car-keys back?

oh, and good job on that uber-weak char, i have not the patience to do such an amazing thing with such an unamazing char

I didn't realise you could convince the Master that his attempts were futile! I'd always either said that the BoS were waiting, or that I was gonna kick his pasty multiple ass'.
Hmmm. Might need to play that bit again.
Saying that, I always play the game as a good character - never evil.
I think it be time for Pain.

I might wipe out every village and place I find. He he. Pure, pure evil.
