Um no. The game is designed to work that way... A bit like Diablo 2 (without the expand), except that Diablo 2 came out much later. Increasing the resolution would probably cause some problems in the maps too as some maps were desgined so you'd only see some parts of the level from certain locations.

Back in 1997, we were freakin' overjoyed when we had 640x480 resolution! Now you young whippersnappers coming around and asking for 1600x1200 or some silly thing. I didn't walk through five miles of snow to school every day for this crap... Uphill both ways, too!

Me too. Besides, that resolution fits Fallout pretty well.

Mine works in 2048x1634 (for 2d, 1600x1200 for 3d), but most (if not all) 2D games look too small in 1600x1200 (let alone 2048x1634...) As for 3D, my computer and video crad is simply too slow to take these high resolutions (p2-400, BX motherboard, geforce2mx)... Most recent (3D) games (say, Arx Fatalis) I play in 640x480 since anything higher makes it crawl. In fact it already crawls at 640x480 :(

Yeah, I know... My comp is a Celeron 466 with 64 megs of RAM and an 8 meg shared video card... so it sucks! I should really start saving some of my low salary for a new one...

As for Fallout, you nees that resolution or you'd end up having a larger screen-area than some of the smaller maps!

Bah! You and your power houses. My 200 Mhz with 64mb ram with an ancient Voodoo Banshee is what you call a crawler.

And I really, really hate when the new comers in games complain that the newest "Hit'n Run'n attack and fuck" doesn't support resolution modes over 1600x1200. Does the graphics mean so much to you? I mean, I look at the gameplay and story and stuff first. Graphics are just a nice bonus.
If you buy games only for graphics, then I'd say your taste is pretty poor....

It's not? I've never seen it in use or heard of it. Just thought of it when my friends sometime say of few games that"what a horrible graphics"...kinda inside joke.

But of course it's possible someone hsa invented it before me, but If I've never heard of it and think it out just like that, then I think I can say that it is my term.

Taking a word, adding "whore" and calling it an insult is nothing new.

That might be Spazmo, but still I haven't heard anyone using it.
But anyways, I was the one who invented it in my town and I'll settle with that. :)

I killed 3 c64's... Well, not intentionally... It's just the damn things keep overheating and I used them so much back in the days... Not until I had a 486 did I let the the death of the machine make me leave the platform... (prwvious to the 486 I had a 286 and a bunch of consoles (in reverse ownership order: gameboy, NES and Intellevision).
