how should the dialog screens in FO3 look like?

not everyone can have a talking head. and what if its a 3d engine? could the people just have voices and you could see their little mouths moving?

i dont know, what do you think?

Having voice actors for every NPC is bad. It just adds countless weeks to the development cycle and isn't terribly useful. I think FO3 should keep a similar dialog system to the one from FO 1 & 2.

I'd like to have a dialogue screen. Simply because it's just so cool. Only a few NPCs should have an animated head and voice. Voice acting in Fallout 1 and 2 was good, I hope it stays the same in Fallout 3. I dunno how the dialogue screen would look like, but I'd like something dark with retro 50's elements.

i think there should be at least one... maybe, or two talking heads per town/area. they add a sort of understanding to how the area is.

a talking head of metzgar, or a ghoul in gecko, other than harold would have been cool.
but having a talking head give quests about another person of equal or greater value or importance that is not a talking head downsizes them, even if they are more important.

i agree with strapon, as long as it steers as far away from FOT dialogue as possible :D , i also would like the "ask about" button to be brought back, i dunno the little bugger was a nice little tool when you didnt want to wade through a lot of dialogue shit
