i got to the robot levels and i cant realy kill them!
what is the best weapon against them?

If you got to the robot levels then you have passed the Reaver levels. You should have enough energy weapons and microfusion cells (there are a ton of them in the game) to take care of them. If not use the rocket launcher (as long as you have a big guns guy that can fire from afar) or M2 browning, beware the splash damage though.

Plasma rifle does more damage but is shorter ranged than the laser rifle. The pulse rifle is the most devastating but is the shortest ranged and there are less of them than the plasma rifles.

You would probably prefer for your sniper to use the laser rifle to disable the robots while switching to plasma/pulse when the enemy gets close enough.

The Browning is devastating when you use it up close but your heavy guns guy might get killed if it is a big group but for loners or pairs of robots, only takes 2 to 3 rounds to blow them up.

Get Gauss Rifles. They have the range and power to stop anything.

A Pancor full of EMP shells does to robots what a Pancor full of flechette shells does to Raiders - rips 'em to pieces!

Very handy for any NPCs which don't have high Engery Weapons skills in the first robot missions....

well, i tried to use enrgy weaopns but there's a little problem
i dont have any men that are specialized in energy weapons!!
my sniper has only 20% energy weaopn spesicalty!!
and dont know what to do
is there any other option??

Pancor jackhammer. Emp grenades I suppose.... isn't 7.62 ammo bad for use against them?.... Try to avoid that stuff...

If you got a good sniper or two, use targeted shots against the robots sensors to blind them and then you can beat 'em to death with a lead pipe if you wish as they have very little chance of hitting you back!

Oh, and use your science guy (you do have someone with a high science skill, right?) to do targeted shots. Science skill helps against robots.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the cattle prod quite effective against the bots, of course you have to stay alive long enough to get close to use it : )

From my experience, its decent. It should do electrical damage, but it does energy damage making it kinda weak.

robots arent easy but if you use a little thinking ya will do fine.

Sniper rifles work best when all the shots are aimed at the bot's Regulator aka groin. A knockdown is almost guranteed when you score a critical hit. That knockdown is vital.

if you can keep knocking them down, chances of them firing back and hurting you is very low, if you have 2 - 3 good snipers, (those with PE above 7 will do fine) you can virtually keep the bots pin to the ground, immobile. Of course, the game's pace will slow down tremendously due to the bots tough strength and the Rifles low damage.

Heavy weapons like the M2 and the autoshotguns with slug ammo with perform excellently against bots.

BTW pump points into energy weapons............

of course there is the cattle prod, but you will need a char thats is good on sneak and melee. Use the prod to take out bots from the back and when they are not looking.

if you have the time and can't kill them very fast with your squad then just maim them and blind them, then after they are done rushing you, kill them, thats what i did for the early levels

I think the best weapons against robots are plasma rifle, laser rifle, pulse rifle, Browing M2, Sunbeam gatling laser, electrical rockets (or other rockets), pulse granades, granade launcher, panzor jackhammer with EMP shells. And the best against robots is the MEC gauss minigun but you can get it only in the 18th mission. Have good robot hunting!
