Well I have tried to get something like this to work for some time to provide an alternative way to kill that extra mean monster or whatever it is that might otherwise give the player a hard time.
Did you know that there is actually an entity type in the game that CAN fall? Think a minute.. yeah. Vehicles. BUT they have to be in working condition.
Here is the trick. Put the vehicle out of reach of the player on some other destructible entity. The player can operate a switch or otherwise somehow destroy the entity holding up the car. The car then falls and when it reaches the zone at the end of its journey you have an invisible trap that explodes, blowing up the car AND the bad guy.
Thought you modders might want to know about this in case you want to use it in any of your maps. You could also use this trick to deliver a car to the player that is hanging up in a car factory.
Oh, and sorry if this is old news :) Its just something I have been trying to figure out how to do for a while. I know you can pull a switch and make entities die but I wanted it to look more elaborate :)
The "falling anvil" trick for FOT.

RE:
I have tested it and it does work. However it does require tweaking the car entity's size such that it will fit on the two breakables and also be able to fall onto the victim below.
There is also a matter of players trying to get into the vehicle which you otherwise might not want them to use.. I doubt there being many issues with that though since it can be very difficult to maneuver vehicles in tightly packed spaces.
You might also wish to reward the player more Experience than if they killed the opponent outright. They do not normally get experience this way and the vehicle may even keep them from getting the weapons and/or other items. So be sure to also not put any important items on the intended victim.

Hmm very interesting, have you any idea the max height the entity can fall from?
I've found, when opening the maps up to vehicles, that there are very few places in the maps that you can't actually drive to. I remember one time in one of the first 3 bunkers being so overladed with goodies, that I drove to the QM in my hummer and hopped out of the vehicle right next to him. : )[TBC]-PaladinHeart wrote:There is also a matter of players trying to get into the vehicle which you otherwise might not want them to use.. I would say the maximum height is approximately... as tall as your map can get. The vehicle may fall erratically from longer heights, however, and could possibly miss the target altogether. I am not sure though. It still looks good from just one floor up :)
Example:
Car is here ------- @
You are here - +
Victim is here----- *
Besides. The higher the building and the more floors, the more tiles and thus the slower the map gets. Especially with those laggy flickering lights. BTW always use a steady flame because if it flickers its bad to lag the map.
