Tumbleweeds

I finally figured out how to create an entity to use the tumbleweeds sprites. Download it and set it up under it's own player index with random waypoints and it will roll all over the place. You can modify it to use the blowing newspaper sprite too.

Hey, those little guys are pretty nifty! The only semi-problem is that if the PC "kills" one, it still animates and can even be looted!

However, that can be sorta fixed if the weed's PI's team is set to neutral to all other PI's/teams.

Unless, of course, you want to have a really disgruntled farmer in your map :lol:

I'm wondering why the designers didn't do that. It can't be they didn't have the time. Could it be possible they didn't know the potential of the game they created?
That would be kinda funny. :)

The tumbleweeds were probably something they didn't quite get finished as the deadline approached. I guess the tumbleweed needs a death sequence in the sprite. Either that or have trigger where if you kill it, it gets removed from the map.

I'll work on Quartz and try to get it done by the 14th but that is a tight schedule. There's lots to be done and I have to constantly play test to see if things are working the way I want them to.
