I had planned on taking it out, and then I thought about how there will be a lot of towns that they could save at. But there is a fine line between what is safe and what is not safe. Most of the towns the player will be going to will have fighting involved. Should I make them bunkers? Or, since my game is going to be more of an RPG than a tactical game, should I make it more Fallouty and make every place the same (meaning no place to save with tough guy enabled)?
There is also the issue with experience. I plan on giving the player well over enough experience to get to level 50. This would cause the player to reach level 50 much sooner than expected and may cause balance issues. What do you guys think?
I think I will just have the towns as bunkers. After having to restart the game about 10 times most people will probably go without tough guy. I'll just have it there for the really hardcore players.
Although I wouldn't recommend it. Since I am crazy about setting traps there will be a lot of memory situations where reloading will likely be the only solution.

In an earlier post you were talking about making the player use a pre-determined character rather than let them create their own or modify a prefab, since IIRC Toughguy mode can only be selected in the create/modify character screen then you won't need to make any map a bunker, just put a note in the read me warning people they can't play toughguy.
