Damn this is fustrating and probably annoying for everyone

Like Tactics? Found a cool mod for another game that reminds you of Fallout? Playing those crappy spin-off console games called "Fallout"? Discuss here.

i've just had a go....i havent tested it yet and it slightly tops over 10k so if you set limit to 10k it wont work or you could base it on it and just add one less level i can email you if you like see what you think?

in theory should be able to kick arse so long as you get the first lot of shots in wont take much punishment from heavy weapons.....so sneak...cos he can do that as well

it was just a ghoul with high luck, enough str to hold a m-16 - int 6 or so and at about level 30
smal guns maxed out and a high stealth - traits were....finesse and one hander and the main perks were better criticals and more criticals X3

have you tryed anything like that? you probably have it was the first thing i thought off

Have you tried using as many Bonus Ranged Damage perks as you can get your hands on? Each level gets you +15%, then add the Kamikaze and when you're maxed out you're looking at +70% damage...

Here's how the FN FAL and XL70E3 stand up:

FN-FAL:

Dmg: Single 27-41, Burst 24-36

Rng: Single 35, Burst 28

XL70E3:

Dmg: Single 16-30, Burst 14-26

Rng: Single 35, Burst 28

The only area where the XL70E3 has an advantage is in that it fires 8 rounds/burst whereas the FN FAL fire 5 rounds. That's only really going to be an advantage if you're fighting lightly armored opponents, which in a 19K game you're generally not.

I recommend the FN FAL.

thats like making a rock hard guy isnt it? i didnt think of bonus rate of fire i guess i was thinking more of targetted shots to the eyes, with all the mad criticals you should get the armour they have shouldnt matter to much

Aiming to the eyes gets more criticals?...hmmm.....that sounds good ill try that....I did make a good char wit the FN FAL last night and he has...

-Bonus Rate of Fire
-Bonus Ranged Damage x2
-Life Giver x2
-Bonehead
-Silent Running
-More Criticals
-Toughness

I think that is all i did...but he is pretty good...but if anyone made a good person that aims then tell me what you did

OTB, i dont really get the bonus ranged damage...like does it add the 15% each level to the bonus damage or just regular damage

And also i dont know about kamikazi...like it does help get damage but it makes me die so easy.

For each level of Bonus Ranged Damage you take you score 15% more damage w/Ranged Weapons (any non-melee, non-unarmed weapons). So if you're using an M16A1 on Burst and have two levels of Bonus Ranged Damage you're not doing 8-19/shot, you're doing 10-25. The more damaging the weapon is, the more Bonus Damage you're doing, which is the beautiful thing about this perk as compared to the 2 pts/level that it gave in the RPGs.
MightyMouse wrote:And also i dont know about kamikazi...like it does help get damage but it makes me die so easy.
Kamikazes do get hit more often, but not that much more often. All you're trading is a number AC points equal to your AG score for 25% more damage. So at most you're making it 10% easier to hit you, and since you're wanting to play 10K games people won't have a very much easier time hitting you since everyone is always so skilled that it really doesn't make much difference.

Also, make sure to tag Sneak and pump it up to a decent level. Stalk your prey and when you let them have it w/the first burst you'll get a bonus to hit, your damage done, and to your chance of inflicting a critical hit. If you're using a Fast Shot character you can probably get off your second burst before your enemy gets to attack. That is, assuming that he even survived your first burst.

Yes. In the standard version of FoT most weapons will only do 90% of the damage in Burst mode that they do in Single mode. However, you're slinging more rounds, so a burst will usually do more damage than a single shot.
