With Bandits: Phoenix Rising hitting stores a little over a week from now, I'd only expect some previews to pop up. Here's a couple I found in the last few days:

<A HREF=http://www.gaminginvasion.com/index.php ... 204&page=1 target=_bank>Gaming Invasion - Amazing landscapes, well designed vehicles, fast paced action, and a great variety of weapons... what more do you need to know? Bandits: Phoenix Rising takes you on a tour of destruction through wasteland terrains packed full with enemies just waiting to run you and your vehicle down and blow it to hell.

<A HREF=http://www.gamingexcellence.com/pc/game ... ndex.shtml target=_blank>GamingExcellence - Remember Activision's Interstate 76 released way back in 1997? Take the fast-paced shoot-em up style gameplay, perfect an already solid game engine, and you have Bandits: Phoenix Rising. Step into a heavily reinforced dune buggy with an ungodly number of cannons, mine droppers, and other such devastating weapons, and blow as many baddies up as possible. Welcome to the world of Bandits.

I tried out the new multiplayer demo and the netcode still needs a lot of work. It's fun, though, and the graphics are impressive. But, if you want it for online gaming only you might be in for some frustration.

Last I recall this game was crap in SP... Graphics weren't that nice in the demo... bland sand and slopes... I don't see that as a "lucious environemnt".

And you were limited by some kind of weird forcefield when trying to drive over certain mountains/slopes. That was perticularely crappy.

I'd say the controls suck but that's kinda wrong since I just didn't bother enough with the game to get used to them (if you can)...

Anyhoo my actual point is that it's nothing like I'76. I'76 had style.
