As promised heres the companion book that will be released in conjunction with my No Name story project. It's coming piece by piece. DO NOT CONTINUE IF YOU DON'T WANT TO HAVE ANYTHING SPOILED DIRECTLY!!

GLASSTORM

Glasstorm is the remnants of pre-war Las Vegas. Las Vegas is still based around the casino themes of the West, Florida, and the Desert. Casinos like Thunderbird, Frontier, El Rancho Vegas, Flamingo exist. Casinos like New York, New York, Stratosphere, Bellagio probably don’t.

The Las Vegas Vault (number 7) was built under the Las Vegas City Hall. Most of the dwellers have cleared out of it and the facility has been converted into a huge underground farm that employs and feeds most of the populace. This is due to the fact that there are sand storms often on the surface of the city, which also blow glass and other debris from the west, hence the name.

The populace also uses various underground portions of buildings that still exist. The Hotel Arabia for one has been ‘converted’ (in truth they just use the underground area and bolstered it a bit) as a small shopping district and also a place to store the collective good of various businesses, including restaurants such as the desert diner. Speaking of businesses, they are only limited to small shops, including general stores and eateries. All major goods such as food, small machinery, water, and glass (processed and unprocessed) are handled by the government. These resources are collected by the populace and pooled together to be used or sold to traders.

Trade in Glasstorm is sparse. From the west, caravans from places like the Hub have only arrived once a year, usually an especially enterprising Crimson Caravan.

From the east, caravans typically arrive once every few months. Since it’s not part of the ‘Exchange Route’, trade does not occur that often.

The government consists of rule by an Overseer, who prefers to be called Ralph. This Overseer has a small pool of advisors. The current advisory positions are military, financial, and employment. Of special note is the military advisor, who also organizes the civilian militia/police. His name is Jack and the two have occasionally conflicted over jurisdiction and issue.

The financial advisor is in charge of accounting practices, regulation of currency, inventory management, and all trade. The employment advisor organizes citizens into work groups that farm, perform light manufacturing, or search for salvage.

There is one organization within Glasstorm and they are the Nevada Desert Rangers. They are from the same group that Tycho from Fallout 1 mentioned and was a member of. They have a small garrison stationed in Glasstorm, however they are being stretched in manpower since many of them are investigating strange occurrences in more northern deserts. The leader of the Glasstorm garrison of Rangers is Boar, a man of Native American background known for his tracking abilities. The Rangers only number around a dozen and a half, but they are still a force to be reckoned with.
