Two New Post Nuclear Screenshots

Post by Mad Max RW »

<strong>[ -> N/A]</strong>

<html><body><P>Kaczor of <A HREF=http://vdhp.glt.pl/ target=_blank>Vault Dweller&#8217;s Homepage</A> sends along word he got hold of a couple new screenshots from the Fallout-inspired RPG <A HREF=http://www.x-k.ten.lt/ target=_blank>Post Nuclear</A>. The project manager KriS states they are still working hard and updates should appear on the <A HREF=http://www.x-k.ten.lt/ target=_blank>homepage</A> soon. On to the pics:</P><blockquote><center><A HREF=http://www.duckandcover.net/madmaxrw/preTD401.jpg target=_blank><img src=http://www.duckandcover.net/madmaxrw/pnuke1a.jpg></A> <A HREF=http://www.duckandcover.net/madmaxrw/preTD402.jpg target=_blank><img src=http://www.duckandcover.net/madmaxrw/pn ... e><P>Looks like FOBOS has some competition (although it doesn't take much). Thanks again to Kaczor for the tip.</P></body></html>

Yeah, you noticed. "Remeber", "Screenshoot", "Entertaiment". They need a decent English translator on the team.

You've probably seen them on VDHP.

You did't have chance to be before me, because I've got them straight from KriS.

You did the right thing, the screens suck big time. They could as well be taken from some game that is 10 years old, you wouldn't see the difference. And the typos... Anyway it's really not stuff for DAC.

Hey, at least they're trying to do something. I'd rather cover Post Nuclear than that bullshit FOBOS.

Yeah, you'd even cover Roadkill. FOPOS is only covered because it has Fallout in the name and because we're glued to it. Still, screens from Post Nuclear are bad, maybe later, when the game develops, they will be worth seeing. Right now they certainly are not and I can't see how they can do any good to the team that's making the game.

This screens are from early version of graphic engine - that's why they look so lousy. FBOS is forming by professionalists and Post Nuclear only by group of enthusiasts.

I'm NOT god - I just want to say that Pip couldn't see this screens before me.

You have no idea how much stuff I'm not covering that I'm fully aware of. There's a lot of pruning going on people don't see. That's how I do my job. I've worked on several other websites over the years and don't need people telling me what I can and cannot post. Think of it this way, if I cut away any more there wouldn't be any news outside Fallout and Interplay's garbage.

I'd personally tone down the amount of coverage FOBOS is getting. Spread it out a little because you never know how much or how little news there is gonna be in the future. To me 3 posts about 1 topic in a single day is overkill. I'm not gonna argue with Saint or anybody else because they can do whatever the hell they want.

The interface is looking nice, but the actual map could use some work. Then again you said it was an early shot.

I scanned some of the print media and the game sellin' websights and the text is pretty much the copy from Interplay's "press pack", when they're not making fun of ViVendi-Universal....
It's the same 12 screen shots. The trailer is held hostage, and WE DON'T
SEE I'PLAY OFFERING US THE 20 MINUTE DEMO .... DOOO WE.... that 'proof of the puddin'' is for May's E3. It may be apples to oranges, but pound for pound, the 'amatuers' are showing more moxy, or gutts, than the pro's.
I'play is playin' it safe. Platform, title leverage, washed out 3d, mass market music, sex, violence , and more sex for "bottle caps" no less.

The news you're bringing to DAC makes it a good place to start my web day, MM RW. Drawing attention to other attempts at post apocalyptic themes is good exercise for all. Even if it turns out to be a pinata, and the real reward is in bustin' it's bubble...
