But I'd say earlier scuffle or so. Perhaps he likes that rustic look.

yea, all those innocent wasteland/bos/vault people really put dents in that armor! especially when they plead for their lives.
btw, is there the complete story on him in the FOB? i would like to read up on it...

It's in the FOB, yeah.
Before he killed Matt, Matt fired a round of plasma at Horrigan. That could cause the dent.
