Doesn't work! I tried lenny and Cassidy with about 3 kinds of armor and none showed up. I'll try it again without the veritbird mod running but so far with it, this mod don't work.

It is working :)
But you can not use it witch other patches that replace npc script files ( B-team replace cripts:
Kcsulik.int
Dcvic.int
Vccasidy.int
Nhmyron.int
Gclenny.int
Mcdavin.int
Mcmiria.int
).

A lot of those files are present in the patch dat file too, so if you load it with FAME and load Patch000 it will cause conflicts.

You could load it with the Vertibird patch if you disable Patch000 and extract vertibird dat to data, then load it with FAME.

Hello all!

First off, the mod is wonderfull. Good job, B-Team!

The easiest way for me to get it to work was to undat the b-team.dat file, and put the script files in :

\fallout2\data\SCRIPTS\

It works fine for me. I wouldn't advise anyone to do this with massive .dat files, but, since this mod only changes a few scripts, it seemed far easier this way than using FAME or ModRunner.

Now, I'm off to test it some more!

This info is for all people that have problem with running this mod.

Firs, DO NOT use FAME , it loks like it don't handle this mod, use ModRunner instead.
You can get it from FMC site

Last way to run this mod is to rename file b-team.dat to patch000.dat and copy it to fallout2 main(where file fallout2.exe is) folder (don't forget to make backup copy of oryginal patch000.dat)

If you use old save games and ncp is wearing armour then first remove this armour and exit talk window, after that all will work ok.

What's the problem with using FAME? I've been playing using the patched version of FAME, and so far only had the one problem, in trapper town Sulik (wearing the leather armour) got in the way of my view of a rat. I tried moving the cursor to find a spot of the rat I could click on and suddenly Sulik dissappeared, and when I moved around I'd be followed by a civillian who'd run around waving his arms but would turn invisable when he stopped moving. I've still got patch000.dat running, but a quick reload and everything was fine and no other problems since.

I wrote that becose:

1)FAME don't work on win XP

2)The unpatched version don't load this mod witch oryginal patch 1.2 (it loads oryginal int files from patch)

To Strapon2
This mod is easy to use, just don't use unpatched version of FAME
:)

:?
Question:
Does anyone know how to get rid of that nasty weapon preference thing that the characters seem to have... For instance: Vic wont use submachineguns.

I'd want to change it to allow certain weapons (the whole graphics-set bit can be fixed by making vic use a different character sprite), but I dont know where that weapon heirarchy is...

probably coded in the AI scripts..

Some of them are sprite specific - although I don't know if it's hardcoded in the game to check wether NPCs can use or not the weapon by itself. Either way obviously sprites that don't include certain weapons (say the minigun), those NPCs won't be able to use them.
