Meet your producer!
<strong>[ -> N/A]</strong>
Read this <a href="http://forums.interplay.com/viewtopic.p ... >thread</a> and you'll notice that BIS-French has been anointed producer of Van Buren aka Fallout 3. Though my request for him to change his avatar to something FO3 related was shot down, he seems pretty erm.... well here, draw your own conclusions...

Apparently he can be bribed with robotic toys. I don't know if those include the sex toys but it never hurts to find out. Well actually, it might just hurt...

I dunno what a producer does exactly for a video game, but for movies it's the producer's job to make sure the whole thing stays in budget. They don't exactly have a say on how everything is done, but if something is getting too expensive they'll make the directory (or in this case, the lead designer?) cut back and do something realistic.
Might be different in video games, he might have more or different responsibilites, but i dunno.

Yeah something like that, I find it unbelievable that no ones made a Game Company TycoonSuperH wrote:I dunno what a producer does exactly for a video game, but for movies it's the producer's job to make sure the whole thing stays in budget. I think game producers do a fair bit, ie. the lead producer of GTA3 and GTAVice (Dan Houser) seemed to have a fair bit to do with every aspect of the game (if not total control).
That would explain why everyone in FOT has a goatee.Megatron wrote:everyone who works on fallout has facial hair
suppose you're thinking about a plate of shrimp. suddenly somebody will say like 'plate' or 'shrimp' or 'plate of shrimp', out of the blue, no explanation.

Yeah something like that, I find it unbelievable that no ones made a Game Company Tycoon [/quote]
No one makes this game because it would mainly consist of watching short pudgy guys sit at computers and type in code at all hours of the day whilest taking short breaks to use the can and chug Sprite. Of course if you were to model your company after Interplay the game would consist of making crap titles, canning interesting projects, and puting out fires on the message boards. Personally I think a better game would be Interplay Tyconn. The slogan can be "Can you pull this dying company out of it ten million dollar hole?"As for the guy, Time will tell, He looks a bit like an old neighbour who I ruthlessly mocked at all hours of the day.

Chris Avellone and JE Sawyer have no facial hair. I don't think MCA can even GROW facial hair.atoga wrote:I think game producers do a fair bit, ie. the lead producer of GTA3 and GTAVice (Dan Houser) seemed to have a fair bit to do with every aspect of the game (if not total control).
