Does anyone know if someone has redone fallout 1 and/or fallout 2, using the fallout tactics editor?

Nope. But you should check out that Awaken mod thing.

OnTheBounce is working on a campaign that features locations from the RPGs which is probably the closest your going to get. The FOT editors lack the scripting flexibility and more importantly a dialogue tree to recreate the RPGs in their entirety.

It could be done though. The Vault Dweller ultimately defeated the master anyway, so its not like there has to be that many paths anyway.

For example, the master dies, so no question as to the ultimate ending so...
1. PC has Int of 10 & Has Data Disc about mutant infertility (your PC will need a tag for this, which can be done via editing premade chars) and simply talks to the Master (thus a one-way dialogue ensues)
2. PC plants bomb and blows up something and has time limit to escape (shouldn't be too hard to script)
3. PC kills the master.
So it wouldn't be that hard to emulate the first Fallout. Not having a speech skill/dialogue tree can be easily worked around.

What if he kills the master first and destroys the vats second?

Yes you could recreate the areas of the RPGs, but as I replied to your
post in the other thread the Fallout RPGs are about more than just running around killing people. To work around the dialogue tree without cutting the dialogue down, or just cutting it out entirely would take so much work FO3 would be out before you had finished. Without the dialogue, and concentrating on just the combat you'd have a pale imitation of the RPGs, with the FOT editors you wouldn't need to split the towns up into small maps, and if you think about it, since the areas are quite small, there isn't really a lot (from a FOT point of view) of combat opportunities. You'd probably need to expand upon the combat to fill out the game, and then you wouldn't be left with much of the original games anyway. It would be better to come up with a new adventure that uses some of the locations of the RPGs.
Either way if anyone wants to have a go at a campaign set in California I've converted the world maps from the RPGs into cam files for FOT that you can have.

There is no FO3 and I doubt one being made any time soon. Unfortunately the popular demand is for sports and action. Fallout RPG's are neither. Most people don't really know what they want. They buy these new game systems and all kinds of sports games for them (because they are sports junkies I guess) and then after playing them a bit.. decide the system sucks and sell it on eBay. Judging a system based on THEIR choice of games. Not exactly intelligent but hey that's people for you.
I agree the original FO rpgs converted would be quite short unless you always walked and switched to turn based to match the speed of the original. FOT is of a larger scope and thus much faster.
And I still think it could be emulated. Although im not willing to devote the time to it at this juncture it could possibly be a project for the far distant future. I doubt if I could get the areas correct though.

Check out the news forum sometime, they talk about little else these days.

FOT has the capacity to make larger maps, but with it's scripting limitations, I'd say it has a more limited scope, better to make maps and campaigns that are designed with those limitations in mind.

It could be reproduced in some form, but it would be like comparing a B&W photocopy of the Mona Lisa to the original.
