Newsflash: Hell frozen over - Fan Art Gallery now online!

Post by Kreegle »

<strong>[ -> N/A]</strong>

The first time it was updated was the 6th of February, 2001... The last time it was updated was March 22nd, 2002... and now it's BACK! After floating in limbo for over a year, the ye olde Fan Art gallery is up and ready for business! Yay!

Point your clickers <a href="http://www.duckandcover.net/gallery/gal ... ory=100017" target="_blank">here... do it</a>!

Sorry for the filthy colour scheme - that'll get worked out soon - but in the meantime, take a wander through the old stuff we've got (over 230 images at this point in time)... some of it is awful, some of it is brilliant, all of it is post-apocalyptic / Fallout inspired. Enjoy!

Excellent.

Try to edit this stuff though, i.e. don't include the shitty fan art. For example:

RIGHT

Looks good!

WRONG

No one wants to see this.

Still, nice stuff.

suppose you're thinking about a plate of shrimp. suddenly somebody will say like 'plate' or 'shrimp' or 'plate of shrimp', out of the blue, no explanation.

Sure it's not brilliant, but what about the kids out there that love Fallout, create some art and proudly send it in? I'm not going to tell some poor kid that his/her art is "too shit" for DAC - not if he/she's genuinely excited about creating Fallout pictures.

Maybe not, but deep inside you know he' s right. Maybe add a "youngster art" directory or something so we can evade it, if we' re not looking for it.

Art Historians To The Rescue!

Post by 4too »

Is there an Art Historian in the house!

One with a minor in Aesthetics and Thermo Nuclear Isotopes, if possible.

Perhaps one such skilled could assist our noble DAC management in segregating the various SCHOOLS or DISCIPLINES of Post Apocalytic Art.

The raw primitivism of the Dogmeat sketch may long out live the crassly commercial concept rendering of ecclecticly dressed posers.

Oh where art the Natural Philosophers when we need them?

Hey, if you don't want to look at it then don't open a larger image of it after seeing the preview. I think it's nice that there is art of all calibers displayed. Hell, someone drew that Dogmeat & it's rough but fun nontheless.

I applaud you Kreegs for getting this back up.

How incredibly compassionate, Kreegle. Sounds like you need another dose of your dried frog pills.

Well, I've got nothing against ol' Dogmeat there, but it would be best if you at least
categorized/divided up the art. Still, do what you want with it, a fan art section is quite welcome.
