Happy Trails to you MCA!

Post by Killzig »

[ -> N/A]

Well our favorite dev to bash has now gone away. Chris Avellone has resigned his position at Black Isle Studios and is setting off to greener pastures. Mister Chris Avellone, you have provided us with countless hours of fun and we can only hope you don't hate us completely. Best of luck to you and have a nice life.

So long and thanks for all the bile balls.

This news comes from MCA himself.

I've heard MCA didn't get the FO3 lead so he decided to leave. Considering they promised it to him long, long ago, that sounds fairly plausible.

Anyways, good luck to MCA. I actually liked him, myself. Anyone who can make a game of the caliber of PS:T is a-okay in my book.
How appropriate. You fight like a cow.

You got to wonder if he was the right guy for the job. Truth be known FO and PS:T are very different games. Not to take anything away from the guy, when he his indeed very talented, but IMO FO3 is not his bag.

I think MCA was over rated, but he had a decent head on his shoulders.

It's kind of a shame to see people leaving BIS one by one now, though.

Time to play rumor control on this one.

It was a number of things, tired of being there although he liked the people at BIS and BIS itself, but the Jefferson screw-up was the last straw.

I think it might also have something to do with the possibility that Interplay/Titus' suits didn't know who he is, which is frankly a pathetic situation of management for a game company to overlook someone of his caliber.

Now is there any doubt as to how poor Interplay/Titus' management capabilties are?

Again, I hope MCA can get a job at a real game company and hope Titus doesn't get kickbacks or whatever from someone to further finance Titus' incompetence to buy out and rape apart other companies.

You'd prefer they left in a big group, all at once? :)

I would, especially if it were to form a company that doesn't have to tolerate the clueless imbeciles of Titus fucking things around.

I'm kind of happy he left.

BIS will fall together with Interplay, the faster the good people leave, the better.

I doubt he will be the last person to leave BIS shortly...
Oh well, that means no more FOB, it's been a long while since the last update anyway.

Well I wouldn't call most of the people at BIS "rats", though BIS is a sinking ship. There are some rats, though. Namely you know who.
