Arcanum: Holes in one's pockets?

Post by Max-Violence »

Alrighty so I'm screwed. I got the Potion to Heal the Blind from Sir Garrick Stout (kilt hiz ass, too), and so far, the thing has magically disappeared from my inventory TWICE. The first time it happened, I just quick-loaded and it was there. This time, however, it isn't. I'm goddamnded positive I didn't sell it to anyone, and none of my followers (Virgil and Magnus) have it on 'em.

WTF?

Heh. I guess you're just gonna have to kill him and put him out of his misery instead. Unless you have an actual save game (ie. not quicksave).
One day...

Well, I figured out that there's a bug in the game (or "feature," depending on one's viewpoint) that the game considers the Potion to Heal the Blind a normal healing potion as well. That means if you use a small healing potion from your belt, the game might use the PtHtB instead.

The solution to that would be to use no small healing potions :)

Well. I'd give it a few more go. If there are item editors for arcanum(never needed one, I dunno) try quicksaving right at the guy then adding the item. Otherwise, since you technically did the quest use a character editor to make you master in the skill.

There is also some lady halfling at the tarant train station that picks your pocket. Had some of my followers catch her and kill her. Took me a while to figure out what was going on there.

I just wish I didn't do it so often.
