<strong>[Game -> Update]</strong>

<html><body><P><A HREF=http://vdhp.glt.pl target=_blank>Kaczor</A> sends word of an update at <A HREF=http://www.x-k.ten.lt/ target=_blank>Post Nuclear</A>, the 3D Fallout inspired RPG in the works. Project leader Kris had this to say:</P></blockquote><em>We have created a new game editor. Now we are using LUA for scripts instead of our own script language. Also we have added some new screenshots from game and from new game editor. It shouldn't be long from now as we will release techdemo1. Also I have updated game status and FAQ.
<br>BTW we are searching for some graphic artists:<UL><LI> 3d models with textures (3d Studio Max, Maya or Lightwave)<LI> 3d models with animation (3d Studio Max + Character studio)<LI> 2d images - mostly interface<LI> and some people who could translate from Lithuanian to English or ar least correct English texts.</UL>If you are interested just <A HREF=mailto:xk@takas.lt>write us</A>.</em></blockquote><blockquote><center><A HREF=http://bug.ii.uj.edu.pl/fallout/vdhp/gf ... pn_ss4.jpg target=_blank><img src=/madmaxrw/pnuke3a.jpg></A> <A HREF=http://bug.ii.uj.edu.pl/fallout/vdhp/gf ... n_ess1.jpg target=_blank><img src=/madmaxrw/pnuke4a.jpg></A></center></blockquote><P>That’s all for today. Be sure to check the <A HREF=http://www.x-k.ten.lt/ target=_blank>Post Nuclear homepage</A> for more info and screenshots.</P></body></html>

It's looking pretty nice now, I have to say. However, I don't see it being particularly easy to mod seeing as everything is 3d. Then again, enough people seem to be able to mod 3d games.... so I'm wrong. Anyway. It's definately shaping up there, lookin' nice.

I thought the guy looked familiar...

If so, then I hope it's only a placeholder like the previous Spawn character.

Its looking very nice, but just to be picky, I'd like to make a point about the ubiquitous RPG barrel.

Even now I think the art of making barrels is dying out, save a few artisans who are keeping the skill alive. Why would one go to the trouble of cutting the wood, treating it, bending it, then shaping the iron hoops that hold the thing together? Especially in a PA world. Especially when there are probably a number of other materials one could build a footlocker out of. A Samsonite suitcase for example, might well survive an atomic blast and would make for a far easier and more effective storage solution.

SuperH: editing maps in PN is similar to Fallout, you just select an object and put it on the map.

KruddMan & Mad Max RW: I tried to ask if we can use him for screenshots, but project leader said, that people who did them aren't now in the team and I was too lazy to mail to every team member. As soon as we'll create our own models, we'll stop using the ones from the mod. BTW maybe you know who did those characters from the old version of wasteland hl?

EVIAC: who said that this barrel is made from wood? :)
