Maybe this has been asked a thousand times, but i don't have the tenacity to look through the whole forum because im sitting here with a really slow modem.
Anyway, on to the problem. Do you have to create a campaign to link maps together? Or is it possible to just make a series of maps and link them together and play them through the "Custom mission" option?

Yeah you will have to make them as a campaign if you want your character to progress and also if you have variables that need to be carried from mission to mission. Max-V did some campaigns which didn't need a world map.

Damn.. then i have to learn how to use the campaign editor too...
I also have another problem, the mission objectives doesn't show in the objective window. What might be the problem?

It wasn't really in the readme, but i've done just like the core text files, but it still doesn't show up. But it's not that big a deal, i probably can work around it someway.

Yes, he did, and YES, it was a pain

Yep, ya do. Don't worry, though, it's not hard at all.
Oh, what I would
give to be able to link single maps w/o using campaigns... *sigh*

Yeah, i started with the campaign editor yesterday, and it wasn't so hard. As long as you stay away from the world map that is.
A new problem has arised though... in the first map of the map series i'm planning there's supposed to be a 'conversation duel' between two guys. Problem is, that the game locks up when person A is set to speak.

Are the speech nodes set to windowed or floating text? If it's windowed, you'll want to make sure you have a Wait action in between each Force Speech action (i.e. B Wait 1 second). Otherwise, the game'll freeze, as you've seen

Yeah, i set a wait action to it. But it still freezes.

Does any of the speech nodes have Events tied to them? If so, try and remove the event from one or both of the nodes and see if that works.

No, no events. I tried it with 'display world text' and it worked like a charm. Then i tried it with windowed speech nodes and a blocking
action(?) on the wait action. It waited and then frozed, so i'm going to use the world text.
