tank won't fire

Yes I have a tank shell loaded but the darn think won't fire at anything in combat mode. I want to use it to attack those behemoths
I figured a way.
When it is the drivers turn press the end turn button
When gunner is ready fire
it will say Driver smacked the living &%& out of the target.
I tried it on a pacification bot it did 230 damage.
But I for one would much rather use EMP grenades and or a Pancor with EMP Ammo. But I am all out of EMP grenades. Pancor don't work at all against pacification bot. I am also suprised that the emp missiles don't work very well either
