Flower Pot encounter

I found a flower, all pretty and potted in the desert. Looks like I could use this to bring a smile to that sour weapons vendor in Broken Hills. What is the purpose of the potted plant?
(Also, that weapons vendor in Broken Hills, you can take her entire supply of goods if you search the right crack between 2 books on the right wall. Have to do it right the 1st time, cause 2nd time she attacks, good trick for gaining fast cash early on)

The flower pot surrounded by carnage is a random encounter. It's a reference to part of the Douglas Adams classic, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

Hehe...
Agrajag the potted petunia and his spirit brother the whale pulled into existence by improper use of Improbability Drive above the mythical planet of Magrathea, which had created custom-built planets (of which earth was one, paid for by mice) in the richer days of the galaxy. For more, read THE HITCHHIKER'S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY by Douglas Adams (1952-2001)

Man them's good books. I've got the giant harcover compilation of all of them. They are the only books to which I will actually laugh out loud while reading. Hear Hear for Mister Adams, may he rest in peace.

A toast (for all those above legal drinking age)!
Raise your glasses to the inspired imagination of Doug!
