i'm guessing that everyone is a general when they are finnished with the game.
as for karma... all it takes is like one lousy civillian kill to drop you way negative. the best ending is obtained by having good karma.

I'm on buena Vista and around a Paladin commander MAYBE( i haven't played in a while) so i doubt i will be a General(i have 5CH)

Every level or 2 you gain a rank. (sometimes after 3)

you gain points after each level and i think the number of points you get is based on CH x kills and or objectives

Either way, you would have to try pretty hard to not get general by the last level.

which isnt hard to get... whats fun is getting deamon spawn rep
lots of killing of the inoccent to get their but its worth it just to here what they say about u.
