Who is looking forward to halo 2 on the Xbox?

I cant wait.Halo is one of my most faverite games of all time.

i am only looking forward to playing it on someone else's sexbox.
to tell you the truth, the trailer for it didn't look like omfg hot shit! to me.

maybe i'm not a halo fan...

I have to admit it does look cool, but it's a minor hiccup compared to Half Life 2, Deus Ex 2 and Doom 3.

i think dues-ex 2 doesn't look so hot... visually. but hey, dues-ex is like the best FPS so far in my book. (half life was good... but dues-ex's story completely blew it away.)

An excellent point. I played Halo with a pal on his Xbox, and frankly, without co-op play, Halo is shit. Boring level design, possibly the dullest scenery since the eternal blue walls of Wolf 3D. It really can't compare to any PC FPS.

the only thing that was really cool in the trailer to me is that there was a futuristic war going on, and it was all like:
get down! pshoo pshoo---blam!
shoot that!
the mother ship... etc..

kinda' like starcraft... but not really. looks ok for actionwise, but story seems like it will be pretty basic with lots of frazzel dazzel monsters introduced throughout the game.. oh well.

I remember the last level of Halo being pretty cool. Overall, it's one of the better console shooters ever developed. (Come on, Perfect Dark sucks.)

My real life "friends" love Halo, but i think it's not too great. All the monster designs are EXTREMELY gay, and have few varations, I get tired of fighting little monkeys with shields and big guys with Pl4sMa swords, there too few guns and being only to hold 2 at a time may seem realistic but it's gay in a game. The game is appraised by xbox fanboys of having Uber graphics, when they're mediocre at best. All the multiplayer maps are pretty much designed for 16 players so if your playing 1v1 matches expect to walk a mile, the game is probably lots of fun for 16 players but I'm not taking the time to find 4 TVs, 4 xboxs, 16 controllers, a room big enough, and 4 copies of the game.

THe highlight of having a PC is that if you playing a MP game and you only have one cd you can take it out when its loaded put it in the other computer and BAM you got yourself a 2 player game with 1 cd. Of course it only works with somegames.

Halo with 4 or more people is FUN, but let's face it: Halo would be NOTHING without vehicles.

Battlefield 1942 is OK, not great. Halo has funner vehicles.

The multiplayer is where it's at. That's why I'm getting the PC version. The Xbox version can suck it. They'll eventually port Halo 2 to the PC anyway.

Halo belongs on the PC in the first place...

you shouldn't really compare anything to doom3 until you know the storyline.
for all we know it is way more indepth than the origional doom(s).

but then again it may be comeplete uber graphics and mindless zombie blastin'

Thanks, I appreciate it. I derive my inspiration from the character Travis Bickle in Taxi Driver and also the 101st Airborne, who shaved themselves mohawks before D-Day, I believe.

I'm not going to make any assumptions on Doom 3 before I play it.

Halo for PC is going to be better because they're adding new weapons, such as a rocket turret for the Warthog. The multiplayer is going to rule. They said co-op probably won't be included, though.
